Reflection For The Week!

This is My Reflection for the Week about what i learnt during Maths and Reading.

For maths My group Thunder Did an AWS maths sheet about GEOMETRY.
Aug 18, 2017 9:59:29 AM.jpg

Some things that I did well was adding the numbers together and then find the missing number to add to 180. What didn't go so well was when I had to find the number for more than 1 angle.
My next steps are to try harder to find the correct answer and also learn how to solve questions that include more than 1 angle to find.

For Reading The whole class did English Skill and each group did different levels for it.
The things I did well was making new sentences for Adjectival Phrases,. Things that didn't go so well is finding the Adjectival because I never saw the word on the book.My next steps are to try and get some help from friends or the class teacher so that i can understand which is a adjectival or not.

Thank you guys for reading my blog post, Please leave a comment.

My Learning Reflection

This week on Wednesday for maths i did some work based on Geometry.
My task was yo find how many triangle where in different shapes.
Aug 11, 2017 11:20:41 AM.jpg
In this task we had to figure out how many triangles can fit in each of these shapes.
What was really easy for me was finding how many triangles could fit in the big shapes.
What challenged me the most was figuring out how many triangle could fit in a really small shapes.
What i can do to improve is ask for help from teachers or from buddies in my group to help me understand.

Also on Wednesday for reading i did some reciprocal reading. For reciprocal reading my part was being the predictor.
In this task there was a Predictor, a person who clarifys, Summarize, and Questions the story.
My part was the predictor and as a predictor i don't just predict at the start of the story also during the story.
What was easy for me was predicting at the start because there was picture to help me and also the title.
What was challenging was predicting during the story because sometimes i wouldn't follow the task and get lost.
My next steps to improve is to always be on task and don't get distracted by something else so that i know what to do.

Making Plastic Sheets

In Workshop this Term we got put into groups and my group made plastic sheets
and here are the steps to do it.
What you need:
  • Shredded Plastic
  • Oven (for melting plastic)
  • Baking paper (to put the plastic on)
  • Oven tray (To hold shredded plastic and baking paper)

Step 1:
  • First you have to get a metal tin and put some baking paper in it so when you heat the plastic it won’t stick to the pan.lili

Step 2:
  • After you have done step 1 you have to get the plastic bits and put in in the metal tin, make sure you don’t over flow it with the plastic or when you put it in the oven it might overflow.

Step 3:
  • When you have put the right amount of plastic bits in the tin you can finally put it in the oven and wait for it to melt.

Step 4:

  • Make sure to watch the plastic while it's in the oven because if you don’t it might overflow because you might have put too much in the tray.

Step 5:

  • When you think it is ready you get one member from your group to put gloves on to get the plastic tray out. When you take it out  put some more plastic bits with it again and put it back into the oven.

Step 6:

  • You can choose how much plastic to add in the plastic plaits and when you're  finished with the whole thing.

This slideshow is about my groups's inquiry project that was based on a change we wanted to see around the world, community, and schools. The change we wanted to see was a homework center in our school because we found evidence that lots of kids don't do their homework because they don't have time and other things. Here is our slideshow about our Inquiry project.
